The Center for Aesthetics is the Leader!
As with BOTOX®, The Center for Aesthetics is the leader in the administration of dermal fillers in the states of Idaho and Wyoming. Since opening practice in 1998 Dr. Durboraw has personally experienced the evolution of dermal fillers from products of very limited duration and prolonged "downtime" to the currently available array of products which offer amazing longevity and ease of treatment. Together during a one-on-one consultation, our providers will help you to select the dermal filler that is perfect for you.
Currently the very best of the hyaluronic gel family of fillers, juvederm offers unsurpassed duration, lasting up to 12 months. Juvederm is a simple office procedure with minimal (and often no) downtime. This product integrates with your own tissue seamlessly - producing natural, enduring correction to a variety of facial lines and contour problems.
Radiesse:This long lasting (12-14 months) dermal filler is excellent for facial sculpting, restoring cheek volume, creating chin projection or redefining the jaw line. Again, minimal downtime and an easy to perform office procedure make this an excellent treatment alternative.
Artefill:Truly enduring dermal filler Artefill is the first "permanent" filler available in the United States. Available in Europe for over a decade, Artefill has demonstrated its safety and efficacy prior to its introduction to our country. In general, Artefill is recommended after "trying out" the results with temporary filler to ensure your expectations are met. Artefill creates a permanent correction for facial wrinkles by stimulating your own body to create collagen in the treated areas. Obviously, Artefill does not prevent future aging but its correction is enduring.
Treatment Information:Dermal filler appointments will take about an hour. Most of this time will be with a numbing agent gradually numbing the skin. Sometimes when extensive lip treatments are being performed, we will opt to give a small, nearly painless, numbing injection to deaden the sensitive lip tissue prior to administering the dermal filler. In this case, your lip will remain numb for up to an hour following the session.
During the actual treatment you should be very comfortable, feeling only some mild pin pricks or stinging. Most patients are impressed at the ease of these treatments. If you are experiencing significant discomfort during the session please advise the provider as there are often other remedies to ease any pain you might be feeling.
After the session a small amount of swelling and redness in the treated area is normal and to be expected. Typically the majority of this reactivity will be gone within several hours but on occasion can persist for several days. Bruising can occur. If you are susceptible to bruising or on blood thinners, please let your provider know prior to the treatment so extra precautions or recommendations can be made. Bruising will not affect the end result but can take up to 10 days to resolve when significant. Because of this, we usually recommend that you have a quiet week planned after having a dermal filler injection, particularly on your first treatment.
On rare occasions longer duration reactivity can occur, usually from allergic reactions to the topical anesthetic being used. Please notify our office if you are experiencing an unusual amount of redness or reactivity as there are treatments which can reduce this side effect. Although we have never experienced it in our office, infections have been reported following dermal filler treatments. Please notify us if you think you are particularly susceptible to infection.
